Written valuation for antique furniture - online and at a fixed price

A written valuation with dating, condition report and realistic market prices. EUR 19.90 per piece, PDF within 24 hours - entirely online, no travel needed.

You want to know what an antique piece of furniture is really worth - before selling, after an inheritance, for your household insurance records or simply because you are curious. For that you do not need an expensive expert report. You need an honest, written valuation from someone who buys and sells antique furniture every day. That is exactly what our short appraisal delivers.

Order valuation - EUR 19.90

Sworn expert, auction house or dealer - who do you need?

A publicly appointed and sworn expert is the right choice when a court, an authority or the tax office requires a report. Such reports take time and usually cost several hundred euros. An auction house will quote an estimate aimed at consignment. A specialist dealer looks at it differently: we tell you what the piece actually fetches on the market today - both the dealer price and the realistic private-sale price.

We say this openly: we are antique dealers, not sworn experts. For most occasions that is precisely the advantage - we know the prices that are actually paid, because we pay and achieve them ourselves.

What your valuation contains

  • Object identification - what exactly the piece is
  • Style period and dating - Baroque, Biedermeier, Art Nouveau, Art Deco
  • Wood and materials - veneer, solid wood, hardware
  • Condition - substance, restoration needs
  • Valuation - dealer price and private-sale price
  • Sales recommendation - where the piece sells best

You receive the valuation as a PDF on company letterhead, with your photographs documented on the following pages.

  4. Within 24 hours the valuation lands in your inbox as a PDF.

Who values your piece?

Sebastian Heymann, antique dealer in the second generation. The family business in Darmstadt has been buying, restoring and selling antique furniture since 1984, with its own workshop and a price archive of real sales results going back to the 1980s. Every valuation is based on this daily market practice, not on list prices from books.

Frequently asked questions

What does a valuation for antique furniture cost?

Our written appraisal costs EUR 19.90 per piece, VAT included. Reports by publicly appointed and sworn experts usually cost several hundred euros. For selling, inheritance matters or your own records, the short appraisal is sufficient in most cases.

Is your valuation officially recognised?

Our appraisal is a dealer valuation on company letterhead, not a report by a sworn expert. For court proceedings or official purposes please contact a publicly appointed expert, for example via the German Chamber of Commerce (IHK). For private purposes our assessment is well accepted in our experience.

How fast do I receive the valuation?

Usually within 24 hours as a PDF by e-mail, on working days often faster. You simply upload photos and describe the piece briefly.

Do you only value furniture?

Yes. We value antique furniture only - from Baroque to Art Deco, especially Biedermeier in cherry and walnut. We do not appraise paintings, porcelain, jewellery or other small antiques; for those, specialised dealers or auction houses are the right address.
