About this piece
The curved, slightly outswept legs flow into the apron and give the table an organic, almost plant-like outline. The sides of the apron carry a restrained molding, and side stretchers between the legs add stability. Two drawers, one above the other, sit in the front apron and retain their original brass hardware in Art Nouveau form: oval escutcheons with a shaped outline. The top overhangs slightly and has clean edges and an intact surface. At a height of 54 cm the table serves as a side table beside a sofa or armchair, or as a low bedside table.
Restored in our workshop in Darmstadt. The surface was cleaned, hand-polished and refreshed without altering the original character of the wood, and the brass fittings were retained and gently cleaned.
Dimensions: H 54 x W 65 x D 42 cm (H 21.3 x W 25.6 x D 16.5 in)
